Biosecurity Measures for World Dairy Expo's International Attendees

- Upon entering the World Dairy Expo grounds, any individuals who have been in a foreign country other than Canada and Mexico in the last five days will be asked to report immediately to International Registration.
- At International Registration the fore mentioned individuals and all international attendees will be asked if they have been in a foreign country other than Mexico and Canada in the last five days.
At International Registration, the following steps will be taken:
- Physically examine clothing and shoes.
- Disinfect if necessary.
- Instruct on interaction with animals and exhibitors.
Other measures from World Dairy Expo's Biosecurity Plan include:
- World Dairy Expo's practice of offering organized farm tours for attendees to local producer's operations have been
replaced with Virtual Farm Tours taking place on-grounds.
- All cattle barns disinfected before cattle are allowed to enter the buildings.
- Disinfectant wash tubs for footwear placed at all main cattle barn entrances and exits. Cattle exhibitors and other attendees entering the barns are encouraged to use the disinfectant.
- All cattle exhibitors are encouraged to take the following actions:
- Wear rubber boots and use shoe disinfectant tubs.
- Not share buckets and equipment.
- Keep aisles in the barns wide and neat so that visitors stay in the aisles and off the bedding.
- Steam clean their trailers before bringing cattle to World Dairy Expo.
- Correspondence from World Dairy Expo to USDA will be sent to request the following:
- Continued and possibly increased security at all ports of entry.
- Increased security. This will be at all entrance gates, during evenings in the barns and generally around the grounds.
